For founders of closed companies

Your company closed.
Its records didn't.

AI labs license the work history of shut-down companies, with personal details removed. Programs built for closed companies advertise $100K–$2M+ for those that qualify. We check whether yours does, for free.

Keep the workspace alive.

The value is in the history, and history disappears when accounts lapse or get deleted. Until you've checked, keep these active:

  • Slack or Teams
  • Google Workspace or Microsoft 365
  • GitHub or GitLab
  • Zendesk, Intercom or your help desk
  • Jira, Asana, Notion and your CRM

If cost is the issue, check whether a cheaper plan keeps your full history before downgrading.

Who can sign

It depends on how the company wound down.

The company's records are a company asset, so whoever controls its assets now makes the call.

Wound down or dissolved

Former officers or the board

Usually the people who ran the wind-down, under the company's governing documents.

Assets were sold

Whoever bought them

If the records went with an asset sale or acquisition, the buyer controls them now.

Bankruptcy or ABC

The trustee or assignee

They control estate assets. Are you the trustee?

Likely to qualify
  • Any size. 30+ people at peak opens the largest programs
  • Records still accessible in the tools above
  • Mostly English. US, Canada, UK, Europe and more
  • Someone with authority over the assets wants to proceed
Where the money goes

Payment goes to the company, or whoever owns its assets. From there it follows the same path as any asset sale in your wind-down, such as creditors first, then shareholders. Your counsel can tell you exactly how.

Questions

After a shutdown.

We already dissolved. Is it too late?

Not necessarily. If the records still exist and someone has authority over them, the company can still qualify.

Do our investors need to approve?

It depends on your governing documents and how the wind-down was set up. It's worth a quick check with your counsel or board before signing anything.

Will our customers' information be shared?

No. Personal and customer-identifying details are removed before delivery, and anything a contract forbids sharing is left out.

What does it cost?

Nothing. If a deal closes, the licensing program pays us a referral fee. It never comes out of the company's offer.
